Finca Esperanza Verde

This ecological property is located just 30 km from Matagalpa City and was awarded with the Sustainable Tourism World Prize 2004, for conservation category and was granted by the Smithsonian Magazine and the Travelers Conservation Foundation, in addition to the Prize to Best Ecolodge 2004. This lodge placed in the lush mountains, 1200mts elevation, counts on 7 rooms featuring solar energy; water comes from the near springs. The ecological property offers excursions to the forest that counts on a large inventory of flora and fauna species.

This mountain hotel is located 140 km from Managua, between the Matagalpa-Jinotega highway. It offers different types of lodging surrounded by nothing but nature and relax. Chalets can host 6 to 12 people. Bungalows have their own terrace. North American style rooms with private bathroom and shared porch are available. A good option for budgeted travelers is the youth-lodge. There is a large building that can accommodate up to 20 people.

Best lodge in El Castillo village, located at a short distance from the local pier. It is a two-story building in wood that combines perfectly with the ancient structure of the Spanish fortress ruins known as El Castillo. The lodge counts with a common living room, a restaurant and a bar. The rooms are very comfortable and are in good condition; rates are according to the location of the room; thus, those that have access to a balcony and view to the river have a different rate. All rooms have ceiling fans and no private bathrooms. Breakfast is included. The lodge counts with 13 rooms.

The comfortable and spacious Mancarrún hotel is located in the Mancarrón Island, the largest island at Solentiname archipelago.
